Meet Lauren Robinson, A Modern Rosie The Riveter

Meet Lauren Robinson, a modern Rosie the Riveter.

It’s a title well earned. Lauren is an entrepreneur who is well recognized in the Canadian tech and innovation field, through her various contributions to various boards and other national initiatives.

She’s currently the chief operating officer at Highline BETA, a startup co-creation company that launches new ventures with leading corporations and founders.

Accelerator Queen

She has been the head of several accelerator companies, including being a part of the board of directors at the Canadian Acceleration and Business Incubation Association, the Vancouver Entrepreneurs Forum, the National Angel Capital Organization, and the executive director to Female Funders.

“We talk a lot about the growth of female entrepreneurship, and we see the tides starting to shift. But without representation on both sides of the table - among both entrepreneurs and investors - we won’t see real change. Women corporate and technology executives have the networks and expertise to impact startups and to source great investment opportunities that others may overlook,” said Lauren in a Highline BETA newswire earlier this year.

And if you think those titles weren’t impressive enough on their own, she also has a history in the financial field.

Lauren worked at National Bank Financial for five years, going from investment banking to mergers & acquisitions to equity capital markets.

Her financial expertise helped her with the investment work she does to this date.

When women support each other, incredible things happen. Let’s follow in Lauren Robinson’s footsteps and be the change that is needed.
